Alex Alfaro, Executive Chef
Executive Chef, Alex Alfaro brings his passion for creating exceptional dining experiences with fresh, innovative food, and a flare for Mexican cuisine to the executive chef position at the Handlebar and Homestead.
Few chefs work as hard as Alex. Mentored by some of the best chefs in our area, he began his culinary career in 2010. Most recently, he was Sous Chef under Tommy Hines at the Homestead Bar & Grill. “Tommy has been essential in shaping my approach. His recipes and culinary wisdom inspire me every day.” His previous work includes the Viceroy Snowmass Hotel, The Snowmass Club, Ironbridge and El Korita.
Excited to lead the dining experience at the Homestead and Handlebar, Alex has found his professional home. When he is not dazzling us with his creative and delicious dishes, Alex likes to spend quality time with family, fish and play soccer.
