At 12,996 ft, Mount Sopris rises high above the valley floor. The land offers expansive views from every hole of our award winning,  Jay Morrish-designed golf course.

The pristine waters of the Crystal River meander through the heart of the course fronting four unique holes of play while offering exciting river carries.

The course at River Valley Ranch sits on 150 acres. Originally, it was part of the historic Thompson family ranch, settled in 1876. The expansive patio off the restaurant provides one of the best mountain views in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Built in 1998, the award winning course was designed by acclaimed architect, and Coloradan, Jay Morrish. Morrish’s work includes properties such as TPC Scottsdale, Castle Pines, The Boulders, Scotland’s Lock Lomond, and Glen Abbey in Ontario, Canada to name a few. This Carbondale golf course is among one of the best.
